In 2015, the full body of US Bishops approved the document Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship: A Call to Political Responsibility in which the bishops recognize the call for all Catholics to participate faithfully in the public square. According to the USCCB, “Everyone living in this country is called to participate in public life and contribute to the common good.” In recognition of this call and obligation, Faithful Citizenship of St. Thomas More was formed with the mission of upholding the teachings of the Catholic Church and defending Catholic values publicly and in our community. We do this by educating our members on strategies for how to engage society and the culture. We typically focus our ministry on issues relating to life, faith, family, and freedom.
