Part-Time Preschool Administrative Assistant

St. Thomas More Preschool is looking for a dedicated and joyful administrative assistant! We are searching for candidates whose faith and relationship with Jesus Christ is the driving principle in their life and who teach and act in accordance with the morals and values of the Catholic Church.


Candidates must:

  • Have the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.

  • Possess strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.

  • Exhibit strong communication skills; written and verbal.

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills; positive and flexible.

  • Have strong computer skills and ability to learn all new programs. 


Requirements:

  • Assist the teacher in preparation and distribution of sign-in sheets, daily count form, etc. and managing the main doors to the preschool.

  • Registration - Coordinate annual registration procedures and materials and perform appropriate record keeping.

  • Student Files - Organize, maintain, and update files as necessary including health and immunization records, file injury reports and evaluation records.  Update and distribute teachers’ forms.

  • Substitutes – Prepare substitute teacher list. 

  • Answer telephone direct calls/monitor electronic doors/safety; maintain door codes working closely with the IT department. Update door opening and closings for IT.

  • Immunization Files – Record and keep records up to date, file immunization report to Health Department; take immunization class when expired.

Assistant to the Director of Liturgy

Candidates Must:


Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043).

 

Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals.


Requirements: Educational & Experience


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to learn parish and organizational management software used in STM

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, attention to detail

  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of or the ability to learn Catholic Liturgical Norms


Essential Duties: Most essential items and focus of the role.


  • Administrative support of the Director of Liturgy

  • Create and manage the schedule of Liturgical Ministers for Masses, confessions and other liturgical events

  • Assist in the Management of the Adoration Chapel

  • Because the liturgical life of the Church is central to parish operations, this role requires availability during significant feast days and liturgical seasons, including Christmas, Holy Week, Triduum, and other major parish celebrations.

Coordinator of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd & Childcare

Job Location: St. Thomas More Catholic Church

St. Thomas More is seeking a faith‑filled, mission‑centered Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Coordinator to guide, form, and shepherd our Level I–III atria. Rooted in the life of the Church and the Montessori tradition, this ministry invites children into a profound encounter with the Good Shepherd. The coordinator will provide prayerful leadership, thoughtful organization, and pastoral care so that every child may grow in holiness, wonder, and intimacy with Christ through the CGS method.


Hours:

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position with variable hours, including evenings and weekends as required. The position is not eligible for overtime. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and parish guidelines.


Essential Duties:

The Coordinator plans, coordinates, and oversees the parish’s Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program in fidelity to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd methodology and Montessori principles. The position ensures that atrium spaces and materials are properly prepared, maintained, and used according to established standards, and that environments remain prayerful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate.


The Coordinator coordinates catechetical schedules, enrollment processes, program records, and ongoing communication with parents and families, and serves as a liaison among catechists, parents, parish staff, and parish leadership to ensure clarity and collaboration.


The Coordinator oversees parish childcare services, including scheduling and supervising childcare workers and volunteers, ensuring appropriate adult-to-child ratios, maintaining safe and welcoming environments, and communicating policies clearly and pastorally with families.


The position ensures compliance with Archdiocese of Denver Safe Environment policies, maintains required records, follows established emergency procedures, and collaborates with parish staff regarding facilities usage and scheduling.


Requirements:

The Coordinator must be a fully initiated Catholic in communion with the Catholic Church, intentionally living the five precepts of the Church, and conducting themselves in a manner consistent with Catholic doctrine and morals.


Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level I certification is preferred. Experience working with children in structured educational, catechetical, or childcare settings is required. Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills are essential.


The Coordinator is responsible for scheduling childcare workers for parish programs and events, purchasing and maintaining necessary catechetical and childcare materials, and providing appropriate resources to support Catechesis of the Good Shepherd catechists. The position also includes responsibility for the weekly setup, preparation, and organization of the atrium to ensure a prayerful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate environment for children.

The Communications Manager oversees the creation, coordination, and delivery of written, printed, and digital communications for St. Thomas More Parish. This position manages the parish website, bulletin, newsletter, social media, Flocknote communications, promotional materials, Mass slides, advertisements, and other parish and school publications. The role works closely with parish staff, school staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers to ensure events, programs, and initiatives are promoted clearly, accurately, and on time. The Communications Manager also supervises the Communications Department, maintains consistent branding and messaging, and supports media relations, public relations, and external communications for the parish.

Liturgical Music Specialist (Part-time)

St. Thomas More Parish is seeking a gifted musician and faithful Catholic disciple to help lead our parish in prayer through sacred music. This role is ideal for someone with musical experience and skills, including proficiency in at least one performance area - piano and/or organ, choral conducting, or voice - who can foster strong congregational singing and provide musical leadership for choirs and cantors. The ideal candidate brings sound musical, liturgical and pastoral judgment in the selection of music for worship and is knowledgeable and comfortable with the Church’s musical tradition in a variety of forms and styles. Essential Duties:


The Liturgical Music Specialist finalizes music plans for parish worship, assembles appropriate repertoire options, and provides musical direction and resources to clergy, choir, and ensemble directors. This position works closely with the Director of Liturgy, Music Coordinator, accompanists, and a team of choir directors to foster coherence, reverence, and consistency in the parish’s musical worship while allowing appropriate creativity and expression within the Church's musical tradition. This role emphasizes seasonal planning and repertoire guidance that equips directors and ensembles to serve Sunday Masses, holy days of obligation, and major liturgical seasons with prayerful preparation. Additional responsibility include evaluating, supporting, and forming cantors and musicians, collaborating with the parish school music program, and coordinating with other departments and outside organization for music at Masses and special events.
