St. Thomas More was a husband, father, politician, diplomat, lawyer, knight, philosopher, chancellor, writer, defender of the Church, prisoner and martyr. He sought the truth and lived his life in accordance to the truth. St. Thomas More was beheaded by King Henry VIII when he stood in support of sacramental marriage by refusing to agree with the King in his request for divorce from Catherine Aragon so he could marry Anne Boleyn.
