St. Teresa Margaret of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Teresa Margaret, Discalced Carmelite nun, was born in Tuscany in 1747 to a noble family. She received a contemplative experience concerning the words of St. John, “God is love.” She felt her vocation was to live a hidden life of love and self immolation. She lived a life of heroic exercise of fraternal charity. Teresa Margaret died at the age of twenty-three.
