We need good, holy priests to bring us the Eucharist. Therefore, the purpose of our program is to pray for priests and priestly vocations every day. The chalice is the sacred cup that the priest uses at Mass in which the Precious Blood of Jesus is consecrated and then given to the faithful. We hope through our efforts and God’s grace that this spiritual devotion will plant the seed of a priestly vocation in many young men. May God richly bless you with every good gift as you pray for priestly vocations.

This ministry was established at St. Thomas More parish in 2009 and through the prayers of many individuals and families, we continue to witness the fruits of these prayers with vocations for the priesthood, deaconate and religious life at St. Thomas More.  To sign up to host the vocation chalice in your home for a week to pray, contact Karen Smoody at karens@stthomasmore.org or 720.482.3594.  At this time, the 2019 available weeks are August 11, September 1, September 29 and October 6, as are all weeks in 2020.

You may choose to receive the chalice at a Mass time of your choice on either Saturday evening or Sunday or pick it up in the parish office on Monday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.  On Monday prior to receiving the chalice, you will receive an email confirmation showing the Mass time you selected (or private pick-up) and instructions regarding pickup, use during the week and return.  Along with the chalice, a booklet of daily prayers is included to guide you as you pray for vocations throughout the week.

Thank you for considering participating in this prayer initiative and may God richly bless you with every good gift as you pray for priestly vocations!

What is Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration?

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is the continuous exposition of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. The Blessed Sacrament is unveiled in a monstrance within the Adoration chapel for all to worship and adore 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Spend One Hour With Jesus

Please consider signing up to keep watch with Jesus in our Adoration chapel. It can be difficult in our lives to find time to spend with God. In the Adoration chapel, the outside world fades away and our focus moves to Jesus in the monstrance. Spending even one hour a week with the Blessed Sacrament is a truly beautiful experience that everyone can enjoy.

Current hours needing to be filled:
Mondays at 3:00am and 4:00am
Thursdays at 2:00am
Fridays at 12:00am, 1:00am, 2:00am, 3:00am, 4:00am
