Get Involved

We are all called to serve and build up the body of Christ and we do this by using the gifts of time and talent God has so graciously given to us. There are numerous ways for you to delve deeper and become involved at St. Thomas More parish. Whether you feel called to use your spiritual gifts to serve others or you’re looking for a ministry to help you in this season of your life, we are confident you will find what you are looking for in one of our STM ministries.

Church Flower Care

Care for the floral arrangements in the church and help make our worship space beautiful

Devotional Cove Care

Members of this ministry care for the Devotional Cove by cleaning and replacing the candles on a daily and weekly basis.

Choirs

Witness your faith and help our parishioners lift their hearts to the Lord at Mass by singing in one of STM’s eight choirs for adults and high school age youth.

Cantors

Serving as a cantor at Mass is a chance for those gifted with the ability to sing to lead the assembly in song at weekend, holy day, and occasional daily Masses.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

You will assist the priests and deacons at Mass with distribution of the Precious Body and Blood of Our Lord to fellow parishioners.

Altar Servers

You will serve at the altar and assist the priest and deacon with sincere devotion and decorum in the spirit of the liturgy.

Safety and Security

If you have a background or interest in safety and security, this ministry is the perfect fit for the use of your talents.

Ushers

You will provide a warm welcome to all worshipers, helping them to enter more fully into the Eucharistic celebration.

Sunday Mass Greeters

As a greeter you will welcome parishioners and our guests at one of the church entrances before and after a Sunday Mass of your choice, as well as other liturgical celebrations.

Pew Crew

The ministers of the Pew Crew team upkeep our worship space so that the faithful have a beautiful and clean space to encounter Christ and his people.

Master of Ceremonies

As a Master of Ceremonies (MC), you will assist the liturgical ministers during Mass and other liturgical celebrations in carrying out their responsibilities with order, reverence, and decorum.

Lectors

Proclaim the Word as a living dialogue which allows the assembly to hear, and respond, to God present among us at our Eucharistic celebrations and prayer services.

Audio/Visual Ministry

Assure the A/V media is used effectively at celebrations of the liturgy and the sound system is adjusted properly.

Altar Linen Care

Care for the linens used at the sacred liturgy. Activities include washing, pressing, and cleaning of purificators, corporals, and all other linens used for the sacred liturgy as necessary.
