Marriage Coordinator

The Marriage & Family Life Department is looking for a part-time Marriage Coordinator that promotes the sanctity of marriage while coordinating and supporting marriage preparation and marriage ministries within the St. Thomas More parish community.

Job requirements

  • Maintain professional communication and representation of St. Thomas More Catholic Parish
  • Work alongside other STM departments for weddings, convalidations, and marriage blessings
  • Meet and mentor engaged couples one-on-one, helping them to build a Christ-centered marriage and when necessary, foster a deep conversion
  • Oversee marriage preparation timelines by working closely with preparation couples, FOCCUS mentor couples, clergy, the Archdiocese, and vendors to ensure efficient completion of their file
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute training and formation of FOCCUS mentor couples and clergy
  • Collaborate with Director in the development and fulfillment of the marriage preparation retreat, including promotions, presentations, registrations, and hospitality
  • Promote and support Natural Family Planning (NFP), as well as NFP teachers, providers, and organizations
  • Assist couples with the scheduling of their weddings and anniversary blessings
  • Provide support and collaboration with ministries whose mission is to support and strengthen marriages in our community
  • Collaborate with marriage coordinators in other parishes, as well as the Archdiocese of Denver, for ongoing training, fulfillment, and modifications to marriage preparation
  • Draft, edit, and curate copy content for the website, guidebooks, promotional materials, and videos
  • Coordinate hospitality for programs and events, including ordering materials, budgeted by the department
  • Maintain accurate records of all ministry participants and couples who completed marriage preparation
  • Organized and able to work independently and willing to learn and attend trainings throughout the year
  • Participate and cooperate in large-staff and department meetings


  • A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as email systems and willing to learn new software
  • Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, with ability to meet deadlines
  • Flexible in days and hours; willing to work days, nights and/or weekends
  • Candidate should be a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment

Children’s Catechesis Coordinator

Job Description:

St. Thomas More Department of Catechesis is looking for a Children’s Catechesis Coordinator who is able to create, develop, and implement various children’s catechetical and sacramental programs for a large parish.

Job Requirements:

• Schedule and coordinate children’s catechetical programs such as Faith and Family
• Recruit catechists for weekly children’s catechetical classes.
• Create, develop, and implement sacramental classes for both children and parents for First Reconciliation.

Must be Catholic in good standing, meaning: received all the sacraments of initiation, currently going to Mass every Sunday, and if married, must have a Catholic sacramental marriage.

Wedding Coordinator

The Marriage & Family Life department is looking for a Wedding Coordinator that will accompany couples through the planning and execution of their ceremony for their Sacrament of Matrimony.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional communication and representation of St. Thomas More Catholic Parish
  • Accompany engaged couples through all planning details surrounding their ceremony by phone, email and personal meetings
  • Responsible for setup and cleanup of before and after rehearsals and weddings
  • Provide direction and problem-solving skills to couples, wedding parties, and guests
  • Perform sacristan responsibilities, including communion setup, clean up and occasional fulfillment as a Eucharistic Minister
  • Participate in training, quarterly meetings and annual reviews
  • Work alongside maintenance personnel, audio-visual technicians and musicians during wedding ceremonies
  • Follow direction provided by the Director of Marriage & Family Life, as well as the Director of Liturgy when it pertains to the liturgy details


  • A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
  • Possess strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Technologically savvy with Microsoft Word, Excel and email
  • Physically able to lift and move chairs, small tables and kneelers
  • Mandated, or willing to be mandated, as a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish
