I began my teaching career in New York City, and I have taught twenty-two years in public and private schools. Now in my fourteenth year on staff at St. Thomas More Parish School, I have the unique perspective of watching my art students grow from kindergarten through the eighth gradeI have education degrees from the University of Denver. I believe that art is a skill that can be taught to all students, because art education naturally teaches to all learning styles of children. I grew up between Denver and a family cattle ranch in Wyoming. I decided to become an art teacher while sketching horses and cows as a young child. My husband and I have a fourth grade boy. Our family enjoys skiing, hiking, tennis and travel. I am a portrait artist and plein air landscape painter, working from my easel in the outdoor natural light.
