Our lesson for our seventeenth week is: Find God in Yourself

This week we will learn more about Christianity being one of the only religions in which we believe that God dwells within us. In Catholicism, this view is radically present in the doctrine on the Eucharist. This week we look at the sixth chapter of John’s Gospel, which gives the powerful and compelling Scriptural basis for the Church’s teaching on Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist. We then explore one of the many Eucharistic miracles where God reveals what is truly present under the form of bread and wine. Lastly, there is a beautiful overview on one of the great Spiritual Classics of our faith entitled The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection. We will learn from Br. Lawrence how to unite ourselves to God at all moments of the day, and to feel as close to Him in our daily routine as we do in our prayer time in the chapel.
