The world hates Christianity because it speaks the truth while the world has traded the truth for lies.

Being the Body of Christ Here on Earth
Sunday, May 12, 2013
Father Israel Gonsalves, O.C.D.
The Feast of the Ascension is a reminder to us of what we need to do while we are alive: That we are to become the Body of Christ here on earth so that we might share His glory in heaven.

Morality Does Not Mean Discrimination
Sunday, May5, 2013
Father Andrew Kemberling
Father Andrew explains that the idea “morality means discrimination” is twisted. The just laws of our nation are based upon a Christian understanding of morality and if we silence the moral voice, in an attempt to make “unequals equal” we turn the law on its head.

Love One Another as I have Loved You!
Sunday April 28, 2013
Fr. Baptist Fernandes
Love is the creative force
that can transform the whole world and us. It enriches the recipient without
impoverishing the giver. Jesus gave primacy to love. He made love as the driving
force of His community. In today’s gospel as a parting
commandment “I give you a new commandment love another as I have loved you
…….. Jesus is the new Moses. Like Moses, He created a new exodus, a new
covenant and issued a new commandment.
The Father and I Are One!
Sunday April 21, 2013
Deacon Bob Cropp
With this statement Jesus proclaims a profound unity with the Father and reveals a truth about the Trinity. He expounds upon this truth in the seventeenth chapter of John's Gospel. This is the plan of salvation; to be united to God in a mystical union. This is why the Church is both the Bride of Christ and the Body of Christ. And now we understand why the Word of God took on human flesh to redeem us. He had to join heaven and earth if we were to become one with God. This is perfect happiness

Divine Mercy Sunday: His Mercy Endures Forever!
Sunday, April 7, 2013
Father Baptist Fernandes, O.C.D.
The readings for this Sunday are about God’s mercy, the necessity for trusting faith and the need for the forgiveness of sins. The opening prayer addresses the Father as "God of everlasting Mercy." In the responsorial psalm we repeat several times, “His mercy endures forever!” (Ps 118). God revealed His mercy, first and foremost, by sending His only-begotten Son, to become our Savior and Lord by His suffering, death and resurrection. Divine mercy is given to us also in each celebration of the sacraments.
Easter: A Triumph Over Sin and Death
Sunday, March 31, 2013
Father Andrew Kemberling
In the Resurrection, Jesus shows us that sin and death do not have the last word, rather that God and His love have the power to transform even these two seeming "finalities" into grace and goodness.

No "Pie in the Sky" Religion
Thursday, March 28, 2013
Father Doug Grandon, Ph.D.
Holy Thursday, Mass of the Lord's Supper
The events of Holy Thursday show us that
Christianity is no "Pie in the Sky" religion, but a faith that
graciously encounters the rough and tumble of life. The
redemption Christ won for us comes to us through betrayal, pain
and ignorance.

The Glory and Suffering of Palm Sunday
Sunday, March 24, 2013
Father Baptist Fernandes, O.C.D.
The Church celebrates today as both Palm Sunday and Passion Sunday. Today’s liturgy combines contrasting moments of glory and suffering – the royal welcome given to Jesus by his followers and the drama of his unjust trial culminating in his crucifixion. Holy Week challenges us to remember and relive the events which brought about our redemption and salvation, to appreciate gratefully the price Jesus paid for our salvation, and to return God’s love for us expressed through the suffering and death of Jesus, by loving others.
