Certain phrases are used to justify killing:
"Right to Die" is not a right but a forfeiture of all rights. God is the author and sustainer of life - man cannot morally usurp that power.
"Death with Dignity" - Pro-euthanasia people define and measure dignity with physical and emotional criteria. True dignity is attained by preparing or helping the dying person prepare for his or her meeting with God.
"Mercy Killing" is an action taken for the purpose of causing or hurrying the death process. The person perpetrating the act is motivated by a contrived reason based on relieving the financial or emotional burden or a misguided sense of mercy.
No reason justifies mercy killing.
Overpopulation is a scare tactic of pro-abortion forces to sell their agenda to the public. There are, in fact, 72 countries in the world today, because of their low birth rates, that are not replacing themselves.
No cure or improvement in a medical condition has ever been attained with embryonic stem cells.
Cures and improvement of medical problems have been obtained using adult stem cells.
Adult stem cell use and research are sanctioned and encouraged by the Catholic Church.
The use of embryonic stem cells for therapy or research is forbidden by the Church because it requires the destruction of a human being in order to harvest the stem cells.
To argue about the possible future promise of the use of embryonic stem cells is irrelevant from the moral standpoint because the moral axiom “the end does not justify the means” or to put it in other words, no amount of good can be justified, if the means to attain that good is evil.

• According to Catholic teaching, pre-marital sex is gravely immoral. In addition, couples cohabitating prior to marriage have a 50% higher risk of divorce than those who approach marriage chastely. Cohabitation reduces sexual exclusivity after marriage, and is conducive to later attitudes of distrust in married couples, not to mention the scandal to the community.
• The tragic widespread use of contraceptives in our nation is leading to infidelity, family breakdown, out of wedlock births, and most tragic of all; the killing of unborn children.
• The result of widespread contraception is that women are regarded as instruments for selfish lustful satisfaction and conception of new life is viewed as an “unwanted side effect” requiring “corrective treatment.”
