Same-Sex Marriage
Do not be lulled into the idea that same-sex marriage is not my concern or will not effect me.  If we buy into that idea, not only will we be effected, but all of society will be gravely effected.

The family is the Domestic Church and the foundation upon which society rests, as the late great Pope John Paul II said on a number of occasions.

If we destroy the concept of marriage as a union between a male and a female, the foundation crumbles.

 ************************************************************************************

God is the author of marriage.  Though it is regulated by civil laws and Church laws, marriage does not originate from either the Church or the state, but from God.  Therefore, we - Church or state - are not free to alter the basic meaning and structure of marriage.
