Your last 4 years at home are hectic - your schedule is overflowing. But you won't regret making time to be at St. Thomas More! Join us for an adventure that only Christ offers, as you dive into the thing that matters most in life - a relationship with Love and Truth incarnate! There's always something going on in high school ministry at STM, so no matter what you're interested in, you'll find something on our calendar for you.

All high school youth are encouraged to register with youth ministry each year; please go to Programs for details.

Inner City of Denver Mission Trip

Living and working in Downtown DenverJuly 17-21, 2013

While we know there is great need in our world, there are many opportunities for us to serve in our own backyard.  That's why all high school youth (including incoming freshmen and graduated seniors) are invited to be part of the Inner City Mission Trip every summer.  Spend 5 days living and working in downtown Denver - you'll never see our hometown in the same way again! 

Space is always very limited, so sign up early.  Check back in Spring 2013 for information about the next Inner City trip.  If you have questions, contact Sue Frank on email or at 303-220-3388 ext. 3.

Alternative Summer Break 2014 - Philippines

Infanta, our destinationEvery summer finds us putting our faith in action with Alternative Summer Break, or ASB.  In 2013 we will return to Jamaica to work in an orphanage for disabled children.  The 2013 ASB team is already formed and preparing, so please keep us in your prayers!

Our 2014 ASB trip is scheduled for the Philippines.  All high school youth in the Class of 2016 and older will be eligible to apply for that trip.  If you're interested in knowing more, please attend one Information Meeting with a parent.

Feeling overscheduled? Stretched too thin? Just want a chance to get away from the hectic craziness for awhile?  Then Peace Hut is perfect for you.  Take a few days on the Eastern Plains of Colorado to rediscover true joy, reconnect with God, and refocus on what truly matter most.

Space on the Peace Hut retreat is limited, so sign up on the Youth Table right away.  All participants will need permission slips, so please grab the forms from the Youth Table or email David Tschumper to request them.

Servant Leadership Weekend

SLW 2012This year's SLW is taking a new route - camping together at Golden Gate Canyon State Park!  This retreat is geared towards all high school youth who are currently serving in leadership positions at STM, as well as those who would like to step into leadership.  Challenge yourself!

Beach Bash!

Summer Kickoff for youth groups and high school youth ministry

4:00-8:00pm

Everyone loves Cherry Creek!Join us as we kick off the summer with our annual Beach Bash at Cherry Creek Reservoir!  Meet us on the East Swim Beach at 4:00pm (or, if you would prefer to carpool from STM, please contact David Tschumper by email or at 303-220-3388 x1).  Bring a swimsuit, towel, change of clothes (it usually gets chilly after sundown), sunscreen, and any beach toys you would like.  We will BBQ and share dinner together.

All participants will need a permission slip.  Please email Sue Frank to request a form or pick one up off the Youth Table.

Please note that there is a fee to enter Cherry Creek Park, even if you are merely dropping kids off.

Life With a Mission

Our week-long youth mission is back!  Don't miss Monday Night Football, Counterfeit, a powerful holy hour, testimonies, the Bigger and Better Hunt, and much more.  Thursday night will be an intimate concert setting with internationally acclaimed Ceili Rain.  Friday will be an optional road trip to Elitch Gardens.

Sister Series: Walburga Abbey

Our summer Sister Series takes us up to the beautiful Red Feather Lakes to visit the Benedictine nuns at Walburga Abbey.  We'll get to join them in prayer, share meals together, and enjoy their valley - cows, llamas, chickens and all!  (And don't forget Simon, the giant Great Dane.)  We'll get to stay overnight in the Abbey retreat house.Nuns on tractors
