Welcome to High School Confirmation

St. Thomas More provides two opportunities for high school students to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. While the class sizes are smaller than Middle School Confirmation, they are still full of fun, excitement and friendship. We educate youth in Scripture, prayer and the sacrament, as well as promote engagement in the parish community and service to the less-fortunate. Regardless of which option you choose - Summer or Monthly - our program is well-rounded and concludes with a ceremony in May.

Confirmation Registration for High School Students

High School Confirmation registration will begin after Masses on February 25 and 26 in the Narthex. This includes registration for the summer program (July 2012) and the monthly program (September 2012 – March 2013). The ceremony for these programs will be held in May 2013. All students who have celebrated their Baptism and First Eucharist, and are currently in grades 8-12, are encouraged to register. For the first time we will also offer online registration. 2011 Fall High School Confirmation Retreat

We had a great retreat in November 2011 at Fransiscan Retreat Center in Colorado Springs. Thank you parents for registering your children for this weekend! We had a great time.

2011 Summer High School Confirmation Pictures

What an awesome program! I had a lot of fun with the students. We visited the beach for our first class, took a tour of JPII and concluded with a service project - renovating the gardens of the Capuchin Poor Clares in Denver. Thank you to all of the students and families for your hard work and dedication!

Upcoming Retreats

Youth within the High School Confirmation program will be required to attend a full-weekend retreat. The Office of Catechesis is offering two retreats. Registration forms need to be completed and submitted with payment.

Steubenville of the Rockies - Summer 2011
This retreat is recommended for students who are enrolled in the Summer Confirmation program. The retreat will occur July 8-10 at the Colorado Convention Center.

Steubenville 2011

Steubenville of the Rockies is an amazing Catholic conference where youth will learn about the Holy Spirit, as well as know Him as the living presence of God around us. July 8-10, 2011, about 2000 high school students from Colorado and neighboring states will gather in Denver to listen to modern music and experience Christ in Adoration, Reconciliation and daily Mass. There will also be nationally-known speakers who talk to the youth about real issues, and teach them how to make God a priority in their lives every day.

High School Confirmation Registration

The High School Confirmation program has been modified from years past. We created a fun, engaging, and informative program that utilizes the LifeTeen model. At each meeting there is music, skits, games and experiences that will deepen your relationship with God and fellow Confirmandes. There are two programs to choose from – Summer and Monthly. Registration begins February 26 and 27 after all Masses, and is open to current 8th-11th grade students. Forms are available at our office, or by downloading it below.

Steubenville of the Rockies 2010

This past July, current and past Confirmation students attended Steubenville of the Rockies in Denver. It was an awesome time, filled with music, small group discussions, Adoration, Reconciliation and Mass with Archbishop Chaput and Auxillory Bishop Connely.
