Welcome to High School Confirmation

Confirmation as defined by the Catechism of the Catholic Church is one of the ensemble of the Sacraments of Initiation into the Church, together with Baptism and Eucharist.  Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seal or "confirm" the baptized in union with Christ and equip them for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church (CCC 1285).

St. Thomas More provides two opportunities for high school students to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation - Summer or Fall Sessions. Classes are full of fun, excitement and friendship. We educate youth in Scripture, prayer and the sacrament, as well as promote engagement in the parish community and service to the less-fortunate. Our program is well-rounded and concludes with a ceremony in May.

2013 Program for High School 

The High School Confirmation program offers two sessions:

SUMMER OPTION
(Classes run from 8:30am to 3:00pm)

June 11, 12, 13 & 14
June 15 - Service Project (8am-4pm)
June 18, 19 & 20
June 21, 22 & 23 - Steubenville Retreat
(Additional forms & fees apply)

FALL OPTION
(Classes run from 2pm to 6:30pm)

Two Sundays a month starting September 2013 – March 2014
(Dates to be announced)
October 18, 19 & 20 - Fall Retreat
(Additional forms & fees apply)

Ceremony for these programs will be held in May 2014 for high school students
who will be in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades in the Fall of 2013.
