“Out of Many, One.”
Sunday April 29, 2012
Deacon Bob Cropp
Jesus, in today’s Gospel, gives us the mission of building peace through unity as he says that He is the Good Shepherd the prophets had promised to Israel. He confirms the prophet Isaiah (57: 6-8) when he says his flock includes other sheep, not of the house of Israel and there will be one flock and one shepherd. Through the ministry of the Church, the shepherd still speaks, forgives sins, and makes His Body and Blood present, that all may know Him in the Breaking of the Bread.

God Is Love and Desires that His People May Always Live in the Light
Sunday, March 18, 2012
Fr. John Green
God wants his people to come out of the darkness of sin and live in the light. God sent His Son out of love, to show the world that there is forgiveness for sins, so that in faith and in truth all may live in the light of Christ. Many times God uses some calamity or trouble (for example, the Israelites' exile to Babylon) to bring His people to recognize their sins and their need for God, and to turn to Him in truth.
