Jo Holt, Director of Religious Education

Joanne PortraitI am very excited to be a part of St. Thomas More's religious education department. I was raised in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, where I attended St. Monica Catholic Church. My husband and I moved to Colorado in 1999, and since then we have been blessed with three children, who now all attend St. Thomas More Parish School.

I began teaching as a Catechist in 2004 for a nearby Parish. The following year, we moved to St. Thomas More, where I continued as a Catechist for Family Program. In addition, I volunteered for Vacation Bible School and what is now known as Shepherd's Promise.

In early 2009 I accepted the Director of Family Program position. I have read the late Pope John Paul II's "Letter to Families", and believe in promoting its message to families at St. Thomas More. Therefore, with evangelization at the forefront, I began contributing to More Informed as a regular writer, and have a couple of outside writing projects in progress.

Moving to a full-time position in July 2010, I am also directing the High School Confirmation program. These students are awesome, and I have enjoyed being a part of their journey.

I continue to be a participant in a variety of Archdiocesan programs at the JPII center, and enrollment in the second year of Catholic Biblical School.
