STM receives permission to begin construction drawings for rectory
Please continue to pray with devotion the Parish Vision Prayer. We continue to raise money through matching gift pledges and I am pleased with the ongoing support. We once again received permission to complete the construction drawings. Actually, we have to start with the design and development drawings. From there, we will get the
construction drawings to a state where competitive estimates and bids can be made. My favorite part of the whole construction project is this design and development stage. I pray that God guides our effort to meet the needs that only God knows and, with his inspiration, puts upon our hearts his will for the future.
The rectory needs to be a place where our priests can live effectively. It needs to be a place where the priest’s soul grows in God’s grace while the temporal needs of the body
are meet. It needs to be a place where solitude and community are balanced with our pastoral obligations. The plan we have is smart plan that brings the best together from the currently living situations in the Archdiocese, together with good architectural principles from the past. Our rectory will be place where priests will want to live because their needs are met in an ordinary, natural way. Let us pray that God gives us a rectory that conforms to his divine will.
Father Andrew
