Infant Baptism at St. Thomas More

Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your child! We look forward to celebrating the sacrament of Baptism with your family.

Infant Baptisms are scheduled following the 12:30 p.m. Masses on most Sundays. In order to prepare for your child’s baptism, we ask you fill out the Baptism Packet. Once this packet is complete please bring it to the parish office, or mail it to:

St. Thomas More Parish
Attn: Director of Marriage and Family Life
8035 South Quebec St.
Centennial CO 80112

You will be contacted by someone from the Liturgy Department to schedule your child’s baptism after the completed packet is received.

General information about Baptisms at St. Thomas More

Baptism Packet

Please print the Baptism Packet and complete all the information required. These forms must be completed to provide us information for our records.

Baptism Classes

We ask that both parents attend a Baptism Preparation Class. These classes are scheduled about once a week and last about 90 minutes. Classes are conducted by parishioner facilitators and held in their homes. We ask that you arrange for childcare for your children, if applicable. Click here to find a list of Upcoming Classes and to register.

You do not need to take this class if you have completed a Baptism prep class within the last 2 years, or have already baptized 3 babies into the Catholic Church. See the Baptism Packet check list for further information.

Godparent Information

For information about how to choose Godparents, click here.

Godparents must fill out the Godparent Information Form (forms are in the Baptism Packet referenced above). This form must be signed and sealed by the Godparent’s parish, and returned with the packet you turn into the church. The Catholic Church’s Code of Canon Law is very clear about the requirements of Godparents and we use this form to verify that your Godparent(s) meet these requirements.

For more information about baptism and our requirements please see Frequently Asked Questions. Additional questions can be directed to the Director of Marriage and Family Life at 303-770-1155 x101, or email baptisms@stthomasmore.org
