Greetings and Welcome to the St. Thomas More Catholic Church website
"We cannot all be great but we can attach ourselves to a great cause."
Dear Parishioners,
I came across this saying that I found helpful, "We cannot all be great, but we can attach ourselves to a great cause." How true! Here at St. Thomas More Parish, we have so many people that have attached themselves to our parish by giving of their time, talent and treasure. This combined effort has made St. Thomas More into a great parish. Thank you for your support.
If you are new to our parish, Welcome! This website is not only helpful for the newcomer but current parishioners can also discover the many ways they can get involved. I hope everyone finds it helpful.
As pastor, I too have a role to play as I am attached to the parish. My job is to teach, sanctify and govern. I am formally trained as a teacher. So the teaching part of my job is important to me. I often say that my job is not to teach what is popular, but to teach what is true. May we all have the courage to teach the truth. Sanctifying means that we strive for holiness. We are reminded to be holy as the Lord our God is holy. The governing part of my job takes up a good part of my time. Delegation is a necessity for me and many volunteers are needed to make everything happen. I'm pleased to say that the willing and the able give of themselves freely, which makes the task of governing a joy.
Let us all strive for greatness by attaching ourselves to a great cause. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has establish His Church to continue His work. I cannot think of a greater cause than that. May this website be a continual resource for us all.
Sincerely in Christ,
Very Rev. Andrew Kemberling, V.F.
Pastor
